Where urban life meets nature
Located in the Molonglo suburb of Wright, the precinct is nestled amongst some of Canberra’s most stunning natural surroundings, all within a short distance of the city centre.
An outdoor-focused lifestyle
With 9000 sqm of dedicated public open space, the landscape; designed by Place Laboratory focuses on native plants and trees. Deciduous trees have been included and are strategically positioned to enhance energy efficiency, providing cool shade in summer and allowing warm sunlight in winter.
The central laneway is a pedestrian-friendly area with charming pocket gardens. Over 250 new trees will be planted within the precinct, enriching the environment and enhancing the community’s green spaces.
Our regenerative design approach, developed in collaboration with First Nations advisor Richie Allen, supports a Connection to Country. The landscape design features many indigenous and native species, creating a thriving wildlife habitat and a wellbeing oasis for residents.

Creating a thriving community
The North Wright Sustainable Housing Precinct embraces an integrated approach, weaving community into every aspect of the development.
Shaping our community together
Great places are co-created. This precinct has been designed with the support of a Stakeholder Advisory Group—a diverse assembly of industry experts and community representatives. They actively contributed to the design of the built form, landscape and overall character of the precinct in three co-design workshops.
