If you like being out and about, you’ll enjoy the outdoor options at Taylor. Centralised parks and cycling paths travel through the suburb to playgrounds and playing fields. Children will have less roads to cross and adults can exercise with ease. No matter where your block is located, natural parkland is an easy walk away.

Space for everyone to play

Taylor has provided the region with highly anticipated playing fields, along with town centre facilities. The two large greenspaces and variety of playgrounds for all ages encourage an active lifestyle, where you can play, relax and stroll to local attractions with ease. People are welcome to use the ovals for their own pursuits or hire it for local events. 

Mingle, our community development program

Our Mingle team has been supporting the local community for the past six years through the Taylor Mingle program. As we transition out at the end of 2025, we're celebrating the contributions of the incredible community.

Our Community Support Fund (CSF) will remain open until mid-2026 to support bringing new community ideas and activities to life. The Hive community space, hosted by Margaret Hendry School, will also remain as an available resource for the Taylor community to run self-organised activities. Booking requests can be sent to [email protected].

Learn at your new school

No two children are the same. That’s why Taylor offers families a variety of different options for kids to play and learn in their suburb. 
 
Like all ACT public schools, Margaret Hendry School offers your children an enriching combination of arts, music, science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Construction is also underway on a new high school to equip students for the best future.
