The new early childhood education centre and primary school in Whitlam will open for the 2026 school year, instead of the original planned timeframe of 2025.

We understand that this might be disappointing news for some families. The delay is due to unavoidable impacts on the construction industry following the COVID-19 global pandemic.

Whitlam residents are located in the Priority Enrolment Area (PEA) for the Evelyn Scott School, a state-of-the-art public education facility located in Denman Prospect. Evelyn Scott School’s junior campus opened in 2021, providing quality public preschool and primary education in the Molonglo Valley.
