Join Caroline Wallace and BelcoArts for this free artist led workshop to transform a second-hand necklace into a one-of-a-kind artwork using stitch, colour, and unexpected materials.

This workshop offers an accessible introduction to contemporary textile collage through hand stitching, embellishment, and mixed media exploration. Participants will engage with colour, texture, and pattern while learning how to repurpose and transform a second-hand necklace into a unique textile piece. Using a combination of traditional embroidery techniques and experimental processes, participants will rework pre-loved beaded jewellery by incorporating thread, fabric, and unconventional materials. This approach encourages creative reuse, giving new life to existing objects through thoughtful making.

Designed for beginners and curious makers, the session provides a relaxed and supportive environment where participants can explore creative expression at their own pace, while creating a distinctive, reimagined piece to take home.
