Join us for an Advanced workshop on the Plant Health Pyramid, hosted by Fiona Buining and Michael Wilson from the Ainslie Urban Farm, in collaboration with Suburban Land Agency.

In this two-hour workshop, Fiona and Michael will introduce the Plant Health Pyramid, a pyramid that explains the root cause of plant pests and diseases. Especially, what plants need for complete photosynthesis and the production of proteins, lipids, and bioactive compounds.

As this is an advanced workshop, some prior knowledge will be assumed. This workshop is recommended for people who have attended the Growing Food Through the Seasons 'Maintaining a Healthy Garden workshop' in August 2025 or May 2024, or otherwise have a good basic understanding of the Plant Health Pyramid.

You will learn how to apply the principles of the Plant Health Pyramid in your garden by making foliar sprays during the workshops. Upon completion of this workshop, you will understand how to grow plants that are resistant to pests and diseases and food that is nutrient dense and full of flavour, using regenerative practices.

Registrations: $10 per person. Registrations are essential to secure your place.

If the cost of this workshop may limit your ability to attend, please contact the SLA Sustainability Team on [email protected] to discuss options.
