Prices for affordable homes
The home purchase price threshold is the maximum amount that a home can be sold for based on its size. Thresholds are assessed each year against the Wage Price Index and updated on 1 July each year.
The thresholds are based on how much a person or household on a low to moderate income can afford to spend on a home purchase. This considers whether they would be spending more than 30% of their income on mortgage repayments.
