Meet the facilitators
Jodie and Paul from Commonsense Sustainability Solutions are the team behind the Energy Efficient Demonstration Home in Strathnairn ACT. They will deliver a series of workshops to support the inclusion of sustainable and efficient features in and around your home, throughout each stage of your home building journey.

The workshops will provide targeted resources to help anyone wanting to build a new home, including demonstration videos and their very own Your New Home Buyer's Guide – which they’ll make available for all workshop attendees.

This workshop is part of the Building a Sustainable Home Workshop Series

Each 2-hour interactive workshop will focus on a different aspect, tailored to support you.

Some of the topics that the series will cover:

  • Floor plans, flexible and multigenerational homes, small footprints
  • Siting and orientation, insulation, energy efficient heating and cooling
  • Finishings, floorings and appliances
  • Contracts, inspections, and what to look out for throughout the building process

Wherever you are in your home building journey, we are excited to support you to build a comfortable, liveable, and sustainable home where your family will thrive.
