Whitlam will have its own flock of bird sculptures between 9 November and 7 December, enticing Canberrans to explore and learn about Whitlam and the local birdlife. These sculptures are created by local artist, Tom Buckland, and are constructed from recycled steel, wood and cardboard. You can find sculptures of a sulphur-crested Cockatoo, Crimson Rosella, Magpie, Galah, White-faced Heron and the Native Crested Pigeon throughout our suburb.
We invite you to take a stroll through Whitlam and take in the beautiful views of Molonglo valley, play in one our amazing parks, stop for a coffee at the Heartbeat Café or enjoy a break in the climate wise garden in our Display Village.
