Early works are underway on Molonglo River Bridge Crossing

The works to improve access in and around the Molonglo Valley have commenced with initiation of realignment project of the northern approach road to Coppins Crossing. This important step ahead of the main construction works will provide clear access to the construction area and will minimise traffic impacts throughout construction.

During these works, there will be short closures of Coppins Crossing to allow truck movements from the southern side of the crossing (Denman Prospect) to the northern side (Whitlam). When the closure occurs, traffic will be temporarily stopped in both directions leading to minor delays. Traffic signage will be installed to allow road users to take alternative routes via the Tuggeranong Parkway. Bus route 47 will continue to run during these works but there may be delays to servicing during these arrangements.

Work will be carried out as dayworks only from Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm and on weekends from 6am to 6pm.
