Make Life Better

What's In A Name?

This suburb was named after Charles Throsby (1777-1828), a ship's surgeon and explorer. Charles Throsby explored Lake Bathurst, Lake George and the Murrumbidgee River in 1820. He followed the Molonglo and Queanbeyan Rivers, starting from Lake George and penetrated to the present Federal Capital Territory in 1821.

Surrounded by pristine nature reserves with views to Black Mountain and the Brindabella Ranges, Throsby is where you can leave the hustle and bustle behind and set your own pace of life.

A choice of block types means that whatever life stage you’re at, you can create the home you’ve always desired. Playgrounds, wide open spaces and a network of walking and cycling paths give you endless opportunities to meet and play.

Whether it’s hiking the nearby nature trails, exploring the creeks and ponds, or riding the network of cycleways you will never be short of things to do,

Life couldn’t get much better.
