Wright and Coombs have received EnviroDevelopment recertification in four elements – Ecosystems, Waste, Energy and Community.

The National EnviroDevelopment Board of Management who assessed the LDA’s application, commented that it was pleased to see the Mingle program being implemented in both estates and that solar hot water systems have been mandated in Coombs. The Board was also impressed with the Local Plant Guide which has been developed for the Molonglo Valley region and made available to Wright and Coombs residents.

EnviroDevelopment is an industry certification scheme led by the Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA). It recognises developments that go above and beyond the norm in incorporating sustainability features into their design and execution.
