Applications for the Land Rent Ballot have now closed.

We are excited to announce that the Suburban Land Agency have 68 blocks available under the Land Rent Scheme in Taylor.

Application Process

To be eligible for these blocks you will need to complete a two-step application process.

Step One – Complete the online application process (only one application per household).

Step Two – You will receive an email requesting further information to complete your application. 

Your application will sit as pending until you submit a completed eligibility checklist form, supporting documentation including Financial Advice Certificate and Statutory Declaration to sla.property@griffinlegal.com.au 

The Land Rent Scheme is part of the ACT Government's Affordable Housing Action Plan. The scheme gives people the option of renting land through a land rent lease to build a home on, rather than purchasing the land outright.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Completion of CIT land rent course through CIT (link to available dates)
  • Household income does not exceed $160,000
  • Lessee must reside in the property
  • Lessee cannot own other real estate (in any state or territory in Australia or overseas)
