The Suburban Land Agency held a commercial auction on Wednesday 25 March 2020 for a number of commercial sites in Gungahlin, Belconnen and Phillip. The sites are situated in three of Canberra’s fastest growing town centres and major employment hubs.

Whilst the timing of the commercial auctions were held during a period of uncertainty for the ACT, given the worldwide health emergency, we are pleased to report the auction outcomes.

The commercial auctions were held at the Colliers Business Centre on Northbourne Avenue with a carefully planned venue to adhere to the current Government health advice. Prior to the auction, several parties interested in a number of the sites pre-registered for the auction with the sales team. The total number of registered bidders at the auction were 6 registrants.

The seven sites available for auction confirmed the continued interest of the property market in Canberra. A summary of the auction outcomes include:

Belconnen Section 152 Block 17

Not sold at auction and is now available for purchase over the counter for $10,300,000. Interested parties may seek to negotiate.

Phillip Section 180 Block 2

Not sold at auction and is now available for purchase over the counter for $12,500,000. Interested parties may seek to negotiate.

Gungahlin Section 11Block 2

Not sold at auction. Currently under offer. 

Gungahlin Section 229 Block 2

Sold at auction for the amount of $6,000,000

Gungahlin Section 248 Block 3 Sold post auction $2,400,000 
Gungahlin Section 248 Block 4 Sold post auction $2,200,000
