Whitlam Hills continues to take shape, with construction progressing steadily across Stage 4A.

Over the past three months, several key infrastructure elements have been completed, with major construction activities progressing across the estate, bringing the neighbourhood another step closer to delivery.

During construction of the trunk sewer main connecting Stage 4A to the Molonglo Valley interceptor sewer, unforeseen geotechnical conditions were encountered. As a result, additional works have been required, impacting the completion timeline for this critical piece of infrastructure.

While this has affected overall project timing, construction crews continue to make steady progress across the site, with several important activities currently underway.

What's next in Stage 4A?

  • Completion of road surfacing, laneways and footpaths
  • Continued tree planting, grassing and block stabilisation
  • Sewer and water service connections, including installation of the Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV)
  • Electrical energisation scheduled to occur this month
  • Ongoing asset handover preparations

The project team is currently assessing the impact of the additional sewer infrastructure works and will provide a further update as soon as greater certainty on timing is available.

Site access reminder

Access to Stage 4A remains strictly prohibited while construction is underway.

The site continues to operate as an active construction zone, and unauthorised entry presents safety risks to both visitors and workers. The community's cooperation in respecting site access restrictions is appreciated as work continues towards the delivery of Whitlam Hills.

Further updates will be provided as construction progresses.
