The ACT Government will introduce new parking fees across the Territory from 1 July 2014. The new pay parking measures are also being implemented in response to an anticipated parking overflow by commuters following the National Capital Authority's (NCA) introduction of pay parking in the Parliamentary Triangle in 2014/15.

The Kingston Arts Precinct car park behind the Canberra Glassworks is one of eight car park areas in the ACT likely to be severely impacted by overflow parking, following the introduction of pay parking in the Parliamentary Triangle.

Works are currently being undertaken to improve this car park, including the installation of timber bollards, log barriers and new signs, minor changes to parking layouts and line marking upgrades.

Pay parking will be in place from 1 July 2014 between 8:30am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. Some areas of the car park will remain as free all day and short stay parking.
