There have been so many great announcements for Throsby over the past few weeks. A new primary school, a new home for Canberra soccer and the Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary.

The Home of Football

Throsby will soon become the new home of football with the ACT Government committing $20 million to deliver a facility in Throsby. The plans include multiple outdoor football fields and indoor futsal courts. The facility will be located to the north of Throsby, off Bettong Avenue. We will keep you updated on construction timings.

New Primary School

A new primary school will open its doors in 2022 for 450 students from Kindergarten to Year 6, as well as 132 preschoolers.

The school will offer high quality learning environments, indoor and outdoor learning areas and integrated spaces to support students with specialised needs. Keep an eye out for how you can be involved in shaping the school.

Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary

The national gateway to our unique woodlands is coming to Throsby with a new Learning Centre.

It will showcase the innovative conservation and restoration work and provide a hub for eco-tourism, research, community engagement and education.

The Sanctuary will even include a café and children nature play area. At this time the Centre is expected to be open by the end of 2020.
