The SLA is committed to creating great places where communities thrive and we are taking a place-led approach to the future land development in the Gungahlin Town Centre. From the very first stage of our engagement, we are including a diverse range of community voices in our project to shape this future place. Join our panel to shape the values, aspirations and public life experiences for the area.

About the panel:

  • The ACT Government Suburban Land Agency and the Environment, Planning and Sustainable Development Directorate are collaborating to establish a panel of people for the next 12 months.
  • We are looking for 100 people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds with diverse views and experience to join the Gungahlin Community Panel. We want to hear from all diversity groups. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disability and people who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, or Questioning (LGBTIQ) are welcomed to join us.
  • As a member of the panel, you will have the opportunity to share your views about the future vision for this place by participating in activities like focus groups, workshops or community panel meetings.
  • These activities may be online as well as in-person. You don’t need any special skills or knowledge, just an interest in shaping our city and a connection to Gungahlin.
  • You must be 16 or over to apply.
  • To thank you for your time when you attend panel activities, you’ll go into regular prize draws.

You can help inform us about what is important to you and what inspires and attracts you to live, work and visit Gungahlin. Your voice will help us to create place-specific ambitions and objectives for the area, this project and future stages of development.
