The Suburban Land Agency will shortly commence works to improve the landscape and path networks between Annabelle View, Coombs and the Molonglo River Corridor. Upgrades will include a new pedestrian footpath and shared path, improvements to the existing sewer network track as well as seating areas.

Once complete, this area will be a space where local residents, pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and others may come to enjoy the natural beauty of the Molonglo River Reserve or to connect into wider Canberra.

Construction of the footpath will occur in two stages.

  • Stage 1 will include the area between Pearlman Street and Noffs Crescent to the corner of Pearlman Street and Harold White Avenue.
  • Stage 2 will include the path between Harold White Avenue and Pearlman Street to Annabelle View and Fred Daly Avenue.

Construction is due to begin w/c 15 July 2019 with Stage 1 aiming to conclude in early 2020, followed by the beginning of Stage 2. This second stage is scheduled to conclude mid 2020. During this period, works will not begin before 7.00am.

Informal access to the Molonglo River Corridor can be found either along Edgeworth Parade or at Annabelle View and Terry Connolly Street.
