Honeysett View

Harbour wanderers can enjoy viewing the Kingston Foreshore harbour from a different aspect along Honeysett View at the eastern end of the Boardwalk.

The boat-shaped viewing decks are within walking distance from the lively restaurant area along the Promenade, it's a pleasant place to visit, relax and view the wider Kingston Foreshore precinct and waterfront.

The materials chosen for the area have a connection with former industrial uses associated with Kingston Foreshore. The viewing decks have been constructed of corten steel and rubber infill webforge decking, which continues the theme of ‘natural, raw’ materials used throughout the precinct. The rock material surrounding the viewing decks is also widely used in landscaping throughout the precinct. The trees selected are pin oaks (Quercus palustris Freefall), a species cultivated locally at the Yarralumla Nursery.
